MR. MAGNET is a unique Rock Empire-developed accessory for connecting the arms of a Via Ferrata set – the first of its kind in the world.
It is a tiny device that easily attaches to the arms of most Via Ferrata sets and is best placed just below the carabiners of the Via Ferrata set. Thanks to the magnets on the device, the two arms of the Via Ferrata set are firmly connected to each other until light force is used to separate them.
The attachment, connection and separation of the two parts of the MR. MAGNET is very simple and intuitive.
Any fan of Via Ferrata climbing is well aware of the situation where MR. MAGNET will be extremely useful: climbing around anchor points. Typically, the user stops, moves the upper arm and carabiner over an anchor, and the lower arm of the Via Ferrata set slides down the cable. The user has to reach down for it each time, which is neither comfortable nor pleasant. In many situations or higher difficulties, it can even be dangerous.
MR. MAGNET solves this situation simply and beautifully.
It connects and keeps the two arms together. Throughout a climb, the lower arm of the Via Ferrata set always stays close to the upper one. So, when the user connects the upper arm over an anchor, the lower arm and carabiner stay within reach; the lower arm does not slide down away from the user´s easy reach.
MR. MAGNET keeps both arms close at hand and easy to reach for a safe climb around each anchor point.
